Living intentionally isn't about moving into a cabin in the woods. However, it's a great place to find peace and quiet. Living intentionally is about choosing where your energy goes in the middle of a loud world. Most people think intentionality is just "thinking hard," but I’ve found that the physical tools I surround myself with dictate my success.

Here are four unconventional items that have helped me to be more intentional everyday.

1. TOZO Open Real-Ear Headphones: Focused Friendly Fun

Most headphones are designed to shut the world out. But I found that total noise cancellation actually made me less intentional—I was missing the sounds of my home, the birds outside, or someone calling my name.

The TOZO Open EarRing headphones changed that. Because they don't go inside your ear canal, I can listen to my favorite growth podcasts or listen to music while still being physically present in my environment. It’s the ultimate tool for "multitasking intentionally."

Intentional Win: I stay connected to my surroundings while feeding my mind.

2. The Nishel Lunch Bag: Intentionality Starts with Good Habits

It sounds simple, but nothing ruins an intentional day like a "hangry" 2:00 PM decision to hit the drive-thru. Choosing what you eat is one of the highest forms of self-respect.

I started using the Nishel Lunch Bag not just because it’s organized, but because it’s a commitment. Packing this bag the night before is my "contract" with myself to stay fueled with food and save my budget for the financial goals that I'm trying to hit. This one habit makes me feel good.

Intentional Win: Preparing the night before and bringing this stylish bag with me keeps me grounded.

3. Kindle Scribe: The Digital Sanctuary for Ideas

I love reading, but I also love to scribble. I used to jump between a Kindle and a paper notebook, but the Kindle Scribe merged those two worlds.

The "unconventional" part of using a Scribe for intentionality is the lack of distractions. Unlike a tablet, there are no notifications, no social media pings, and no blue light. It’s a dedicated space for deep reading and handwritten notes. It’s where I create my to-do list, write out my grocery list, and write out goals and plans for my family. It truly is one of my favorite things!

Intentional Win: A distraction-free zone for deep work and expansive reading.

4. My Self-Reflection Journal: The 90-Day Roadmap

Finally, the anchor of my entire day. I realized that if I didn't have a place to track my progress, I was just drifting. That’s why I wrote the Self-Reflection Journal: 90 Days to Make Your Journey Successful.

This isn't just a notebook; it’s a structured guide to looking inward. I wanted to gain clarity and insight into my habits and learn more about what I could be doing that's either hindering or accelerating my progress. Documenting your achievements and setbacks helps you gain a clearer understanding of your personal growth journey. If you feel like your days are a blur of "busy-ness" without actual "progress," this 90-day framework is designed to pull you out of the cycle.

Intentional Win: Creating a permanent record of growth and holding myself accountable to my future self.

Why These Items?

Intentionality is a practice. Whether it’s how you listen to stay focused, how you practice the art of preparation by preparing meals the night before, how you learn, or how you reflect, these tools provide the structure for a successful, intentional life.

There are many other tools you can use to stay intentional, but these unconventional products are my go-to items. I do not leave the house without them.
